Kitzbuhel - Austria

Kitzbühel is a town and ski resort in the state of Tyrol in western Austria. Kitzbühel is located between the Hahnenkamm and Kitzbüheler Horn mountains. Kitzbühel has a well-preserved town center with colorful buildings in traditional Tyrolean style. The streets are narrow and cobbled, and there is a wide range of shops, restaurants, hotels and cafes. The town's history dates back to the Middle Ages, which is reflected in both its architecture and cultural offerings. Kitzbühel is best known for its skiing and is one of the most established ski resorts in the Alps. The ski area covers over 230 km of slopes and is connected to several surrounding villages via a modern lift system. The most famous part of the ski area is the Hahnenkamm, where the annual World Cup downhill skiing competition is held. During the summer, Kitzbühel offers hiking, mountain biking, golf and climbing. There is a network of marked trails and several peaks are reached by cable cars.
