Stockholm, Hagastaden, construction, view towards Norra Stationsgatan and Sankt Eriksgatan - Sweden

The City of Stockholm is developing the Norra Station area, view towards Norrtull, the intersection of Norra Stationsgatan and Sankt Eriksgatan
Hagastaden - view towards Norrtull, the intersection of Norra Stationsgatan and Sankt Eriksgatan. By 2030, the Norra Station area will be built up and developed into a completely new part of the city. With a combination of housing, park areas and a knowledge-intensive business community, Hagastaden is growing in both Stockholm and Solna. Hagastaden stretches from Karlbergsvägen in the west to Bellevueparken in the east and from Norra Stationsgatan in the south to the Karolinska hospital area in the north. By building the E4/E20 and Värtabanan into tunnels, new buildable land has been created at the former Norra Station freight yard. A vibrant and attractive district is being built here with 6,000 new homes (of which 3,000 in the city of Stockholm) and 50,000 workplaces (of which 14,000 in the city of Stockholm). The construction project is ongoing between 2010-2030.
