Webbkameror.se shows storks live in collaboration with the Stork Project

The Stork Project has been running since 1989 and is run by the Society for Nature Conservation in Skåne together with the Skåne Ornithological Society. We breed and release stork pairs and yearlings that will build up the wild population. Our backbone consists of a large number of volunteers. In addition, there is a management group, a working committee and an employed project manager. The Stork Project's largest enclosure (2500 m2) is in Fulltofta. It was completed in 2004 and around 25 stork pairs nest here. The enclosure is one of two large enclosures within the project, intended for breeding and raising king storks. All young storks are released into the open air on the last Saturday in July, every year. The white stork was once common in Skåne. But when we drained and cultivated the wetlands, the storks could no longer find food for their young. The last pair nested in 1954 on a farm near Karups Nygård. Through the Stork Project, Skåne hopes to get our Skåne symbol back! The goal is to regain a viable, migratory population of white storks in Skåne.
