Molde - known as "Rosenes by" (City of Roses), many rose gardens and flower displays.
Molde is a city in western Norway, located in Møre og Romsdal county, on the Romsdal Peninsula. The city is located on the northern coast of the Moldefjord, an arm of the Romsdalsfjord, and is surrounded by a beautiful archipelago and high mountains. Molde is known as "Rosenes by" (The City of Roses) because of its many rose gardens and flower displays. The city has a population of approximately 22,410 inhabitants (2024) and serves as the administrative and commercial center of Møre og Romsdal county. Molde is also home to Molde University and several international companies. One of Molde's most famous attractions is the Moldepanoramaet, a stunning view of approximately 222 partly snow-capped peaks that extend from the city and are visible from several directions. The best view is from the top of Varden, a 404-meter-high hill behind the city. The webcam is presented by Triangel Security AS in Molde.
