Lawai Beach - a small popular beach located in Koloa on the south coast of Kauai
Hawaii is the 50th state of the United States and consists of a chain of volcanic islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, approximately 3,700 kilometers southwest of the mainland United States. Hawaii consists of eight major islands, the most famous of which are Oʻahu, Maui, Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi (also known as the Big Island), Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi. The capital is Honolulu, located on the island of Oʻahu, which is also the most populous island. Hawaii is unique both geographically and culturally.
Kauai - the fourth largest island in Hawaii and often referred to as "The Garden Isle" due to its lush, tropical scenery and abundant rainforest. Kauai is known for its dramatic landscapes of steep cliffs, deep valleys and waterfalls, especially in areas such as the Nā Pali Coast and Waimea Canyon, often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". Kauai has a more peaceful and unspoiled character compared to the larger islands and is a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers and those seeking relaxation in a natural environment. Kauai also offers beautiful beaches, rivers and small communities with local crafts and culture.
Lawai Beach - a small but popular beach located on the south coast of Kauaʻi, near Poʻipū. It is known for its excellent snorkeling area, protected by an outer coral reef that creates calm waters for exploring marine life. Common species that can be observed include butterflyfish, parrotfish, surgeonfish, and sea turtles. During certain periods, the rare Hawaiian monk whale can also be seen here. The beach is small and can almost disappear at high tide, but at low tide there is a golden sand beach where visitors can sunbathe and relax. At high tide, it is common for people to gather on the grassy area at the side of the beach, where there is an excellent view of surfers riding the waves further out.
