Kobe, Meriken Park, Kobe Port Tower

Kobe - a port city in Japan and internationally famous for its Kobe beef, among other things
Kobe is a port city in Japan, located at the foot of the Rokko Mountains and on the northern shore of Osaka Bay, in Hyōgo Prefecture. Kobe is part of the Keihanshin region and serves as an important commercial and industrial center. Kobe's port has long been important for both domestic and international trade, and the area around the water has gradually developed into a recreational and cultural area. Kobe is internationally famous for its Kobe beef, a particularly tender and marbled beef from Tajima breed wagyu cattle raised under special regulations in Hyōgo Prefecture. The meat is considered exclusive and is strongly linked to the city's name.
Meriken Park - an open park area at the port area of Kobe that contains walkways, green spaces, and several public works of art. Surrounded by water on three sides, the park serves as a place for both leisure and remembrance. In the southern part are two prominent buildings: the Kobe Port Tower and the Kobe Maritime Museum.
Kobe Port Tower - a red-colored tower with a tubular structure, built in 1963. The tower is approximately 108 meters high and has observation decks that offer views of the city, the bay, and the surrounding mountains. Adjacent to the tower is the Kobe Maritime Museum, which has a wave-shaped architecture. The museum displays exhibits on Japanese shipping, the history of the port, and modern marine technology, including materials from shipping companies and ship models.
Kobe Earthquake Memorial Park - an area dedicated to the memory of the 1995 Hanshin Earthquake, in the northern part of the park. It displays a preserved part of the damaged wharf and information about the earthquake, its effects and the reconstruction of the city. It is a place for reflection and learning about natural disasters and the city's crisis management.
The webcam is presented by Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel and Kobe Waterfront.
