Kijkduin - the quiet seaside resort at The Hague
Kijkduin is a small but charming coastal town located on the North Sea coast, in the southwestern part of the city of The Hague (Den Haag) in the Netherlands. It is a popular excursion destination for both locals and tourists looking for a quieter atmosphere than the more famous neighboring town of Scheveningen. From the center of The Hague, it takes about 20 minutes by bus or bicycle to reach Kijkduin. This makes the place ideal for a day trip. Kijkduin is known for its long sandy beach, soft sand dunes and extensive sea views. The area is part of the larger nature reserve Solleveld & Kapittelduinen, which offers great opportunities for hiking and cycling in a protected natural environment.
