New Karolinska Solna - Timelapse from excavation work prior to construction
The new Karolinska Solna is Sweden's new state-of-the-art university hospital, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015. Construction is scheduled to start in mid-2010.
Before the actual hospital construction begins, the site and surrounding areas must be prepared. Among other things, new parking spaces will be created to replace the parking garage that stands where the new hospital is to be built. The area in the picture is "Oljeberget" which is now being blown up to become parking.
