Danvikshem - a well-known landmark for those traveling towards Stockholm by sea

Webcams with live views from the tower at Danvikshem in Nacka. Danvikshem is located at the entrance to Stockholm, on the hill above the Danvik Canal in Nacka. The building was built in the early 20th century and designed by architect Aron Johansson. It was built as a home for the elderly and needy, financed by the historic Danvikens hospital foundation, which has roots all the way back to the 16th century. The facility consists of the main building with its characteristic tower, surrounded by parkland and smaller buildings. The location at the entrance means that from the area you have a view over the water towards, among other things, Djurgården, Stadsgården and towards central Stockholm. Today, Danvikshem is still used as a care home. The older architecture and high location make the place a well-known landmark for those traveling to Stockholm by sea.
